hospital - stroll around the old town and look out over the ramparts

warm sunny autumns, winter can be very cold but sunny and only lasts

Why
not take a trip on a Gabares, from La Rogue-Gageac on the banks of
the Dordogne river, you will pass Chateaux
and see the Kites flying over the magnificant cliffs. The trips
last about an hour and can be thoroughly recommended. |

Take a trip on a canoe down the Dordogne river.
The trips start from Vitrac, Cenac, Carsac, La Roque-Gageac and
Beynac, to name but a few. Take along a picnic and stop on the
river bank for lunch, or stop off at one of the many cafe's along
the way. A wonderful day out, brilliant fun and fantastic
scenery. |

The area abounds with beautiful
villages and towns, too many to list but a few worth a visit are, Gourdon, Domme, Daglan, Sarlat, Cahors, Rocamadour,
& St Cirq Lapopie. |

Sarlat is a wonderful medieval town, with a busy
market on Saturday mornings. Well worth a visit whatever time
of year. |

Why not take a trip along the river Lot and call in
at the numerous vineyards and sample some of the excellent Cahors
wines. |

Visit one of the many local markets and try an
array of local cheeses, sausages, hams and of course Fois Gras. |
